Also includes artwork (multimedia pieces, notebooks documenting the artistic process, sketchbooks, slides, exhibit files and guestbooks); writings (manuscripts, typescripts, notebooks, journals and notes); correspondence; financial, legal and medical files documenting Peslikis's long illnesses and poverty; teaching files and files from Peslikis's student years; subject files (e.g. grant and fellowship project files, photography, astrology and a myriad of other interests); posters; photographs; and audio and video cassettes and reel-to-reel tapes.

Feminist artist, activist, and educator. Peslikis (1943-2002) was born in New York, New York, and raised in different locations in Queens, New York. She was instrumental in a number of influential feminist and feminist art groups, including the New York Feminist Art Institute, the journal WOMEN & ART (co-founded with Pat Mainardi), and the group Redstockings.
